OATS... Superfood Spotlight

Did you know that Oats was once considered a invasive weed? it was unwanted, and considered invasive to crops like wheat & barley.

Now centuries later we realize that it is a great grain to help us manage our cholesterol levels along with adding fiber to our diets.

Studies have shown by adding this grain to our diets can reduce "BAD" cholesterol by 7%

It has also been  shown that a diet containing Oats can improve blood pressure and significantly reduce the risk of Cardiovascular Disease.

Beef Stew!!

Beef Stew

The cold brings out the best soups and stews season...Brrrrrrr! My beef stew is delicious full of flavor and low in calories. Can't beat that with a stick...

I usually use beef chuck roast and cut it up myself because buying stew meat costs more because of the convenience of it being cut up. 

Ingredients:
Yukon Gold Potatoes 1 to 2 lbs peeled and quartered
Celery 1 pkg. washed and quarter. ( Do not use the ends or the leaves in stew it will sour it.)
Carrots ( Pre- Boil ) so they are 1/2 ...
