Hershey Kisses Birthday Cake!

What I have to Be Thankful for!

                                             MY THANKSGIVING CELEBRATION

Growing up out East in a Greek & Italian family their was always two things involved, Noise, and plenty of good food!

We weren't The Norman Rockwell family picture, but we were a typical ethnic family. 
Daddy sat at the head of the table barking orders, Ma was at the other end telling Us to eat.
It was our tradition and I miss it very much. My Dad pass over 3+ years ago now, and my Ma is in a Care facility.

Family -Style Beef Stew!!!! FEEDS 15-20 people.....Full of fresh organic vegetables, Hormone-Free Chuck Roasts,organic beef broth, fennel, anise,onions,garlic,sweet basil,sea salt, thyme, oregano.

This meal is just what everyone should have during the Holidays, or anytime you want to refuel your stomachs and your Spirits!
It is Hearty, full of vitamins, flavor, filling meal, that goes good with my Homemade Crusty Breads.

Alexander's Greek Chicken!


Alexander's Greek Chicken 
I named this chicken dish after my father,
Alexander Harry Ianos.
Or as he liked to call himself
"Alexander the Great "

He was very proud of his heritage, and often told people he had ancestral roots to the great Kings of Greece.
Well I know we had Spartan blood in our veins, because if you disagreed with him
there was definitely sparks, swords, and tempers all over the place!

St. Pat's Day

The 1st day of March is next Tuesday.... Of course we know what comes next, St. Patty's Day on March 17th!


In honor of this auspicious day I am making a very special St. Patty's Day Sandwich.
of course I am Naming it St. Patty's Melt.
It will have Pastrami, Provolone Cheese,Red Pepper,& Sauerkraut on a  Grilled Dark Rye Bread.
Now I already did a Test Sampling of this Bad Boy, and I gotta tell you it is one Bad A_________S sandwich!

I am never disappointed about this most Thankful Holiday!
It is one that is full with Joy, Family&friends!
People aren't thankful for what new Bling/Bling they want for Christmas, instead they are thinking about the family & friends that surround them around the table that day, and also Saddened for those that are not....
