Pizza,Pizza, Pizza...!

January 28, 2012

Pizza, I think who ever invented it way back when should get a Big Wet One right on the Lips....!

I Love making my own though, I use Boboli Crusts, and I brush a olive oil & garlic mixture over top and bottom of crusts then broil for app. 3-5 min. till slightly browned and crisp.
Then I proceed to do my layers of seasoned Italian Red sauce, then meats, this one pictured has Italian stuffed chicken sausage, low in calories, but great in taste.
I slice the sausage thinly, add onions, red or sweet yellows sliced, cook in olive oil and garlic and sweet basil seasonings.
Then when that is crisp lightly, I spoon that over the sauce covered crust, sprinkle that with sliced black olives, and top with a large amount of (3) cheeses .
Bake it @ 400' for app. 8-10 minutes till a nice golden brown.

Serve in thin slices with a Deluxe Italian Garden Salad, and some thin sliced Honey Crisp Apples.
What says Dinner better then fresh home made pizza made the Diva Way...

So there you have it folks, deliciousness in a Pizza Pie, and its for your dinner.
If you do not want to make yours please feel free to call The Diva and she will gladly cook one just for your dinner any night.

That's why cookies are always something I have on hand in my cookie jar, or flash fr...

Stuffed Green Peppers by Chef Gianna owner of Divadish Kitchens & Catering

This recipe has been in my Mother's family over a 100+ years.
All of the Messano's and the Ianos's have tweaked it a bit over the years, but it still is our Comfort Food dish.
Especially when the weather gets colder we all turn to heartier meals.

My recipe uses lean ground organic beef & ground pork sausage.
No rice added to meat mixure, instead I did it like a meatloaf base.
Added fennel, anise, onions, garlic, swee...
