Italian Potato Pancakes!

                                                               Tasty Potato Pancakes

The recipe for this dish is a guarded secret in my family and we have protected it for generations too!
 My mother got the original recipe from several of her close friends when she was a very young woman. She in turn gave to her (2) daughters and we have made this our recipe now.

Being a Chef has it's rewards, one of them is being able to just create something you feel like. Yum, is what I call it when I step into my test kitchen and create something new.

Today was one of those Yum  moments, I live in Minnesota now and our weather is very changeable, so much so it is a common joke among  those who were born here, you must of heard it,"Wait (5) minutes the weather will change"

Beef Vegetable Soup!

Vegetable Beef Soup

Good soup starts with a good stock, or as laymen would say a good foundation.
This soup pictured started out as a pulled beef recipe and I always make extra because you can turn it into something else later on.

Knowing that when you are preparing a recipe will save you time $$$$ and less stress as you are cooking.

Here is what I did to make this very hearty, healthy delicious soup.

2011 New Recipes, New Year!

As 2010 winds down, and we all catch our breaths a bit before another year begins,@ Divadish we are preparing to make 2011 another banner year.
We have been working in the kitchens tasting and trying some new recipes, adding new twists to others and finding some great food choices.
We will be expanding all our lines, and especially our cookies, & desserts.
As I find myself thinking on how we can have our Cake & Eat it too, I do just that, but not adding as much sugars.
